Mayfair (Dinner Suit) Range

Our Mayfair Dinner Suits are tailored using 100% British Woollen Fabrics and made by a British Tailoring Company. As with all of our own label hirewear suits, these luxury dinner suits have been tailored with a specification more usually associated with a tailored suit. 

We have opted for a Midnight woollen fabric. "This extremely dark hue of navy blue achieved its popularity in the 1930s due to its ability to retain its richness under artificial light whereas black fabric is generally more reflective and can sometimes give off a greenish or grayish cast, particularly if the cloth is not brand new. For this reason midnight blue is frequently described as being “blacker than black” although “richer than black” would be a more accurate definition" (Gentleman's Gazette)
