“Successful Women Wear Yull Shoes”

This is quite a claim to make, so this week I have set about exploring the rising design talent of Sarah Watkisnson-Yull.

Sarah Watkinson-Yull established Yull in 2011 at 21. She completed her studies at Philip Green's Fashion Retail Academy in 2009 before working for the family business in particular focusing on the import, export aspects of business. Since then she has taken the decision to combine her creative side and ardour for fashion with her business knowledge in the launching of her shoe brand Yull.

Sarah says that Yull is 'style over fashion', a break from the current trend-following flow of impracticable and ephemeral shoe brands.

In 2012 she received funding from the Prince's trust to set up manufacturing in the UK. Yull is one of the only independent shoe brands manufacturing high heels in Britain. Sarah’s desire to promote and reinvigorate shoe manufacturing in the UK, strikes a chord with me, as I am trying to devote the same passion for British manufacturing in my product selection in The Cotswold Tailor. Over 50% of our products are now sourced from British manufacturers.

Sarah’s company is rapidly growing through boutique fashion houses up and down the country and I am excited to announce I will be working alongside Sarah to design and select a distinctive range of ladies shoes to sell in The Cotswold Tailors new Shipston On Stour store.
